The hardest thing to do when starting something new is to take the first step. We want to make that as easy as can be. Since we are pretty sure once you try a class you will love it we want to take away any excuses. That’s why we are offering you a
Let me explain how this works so you won’t be surprised. The trial class is our normal class, so you will be doing exactly what you would be doing as a member. You need to wear work out close and you might want to bring some water. After the class if you liked the work out and would like more information stop by the front desk and ask one of our friendly program directors for more information. You will be treated with respect and courtesy. No pressure at all. If the class wasn’t for you and you would like to share, again see one of our staff members at the front desk.
And if you just wanted to try it out and you don’t want to get more information, then the front door isn’t locked and you will not be stopped on your way out. In other words, if you like it and want more info head toward the front desk, if you want to go, go. This class is an hour long and runs two days a week.
The only openings we have are in our Monday and Wednesday classes at. Sorry all other classes are full but if you like give us a call and we can put you on our waiting list. The reason for the free trial is to give you a chance to try it out and see if you like it by doing it, not being talked into but by actually participating in a real class.
The other reason we are offering this class is because we just opened these times and we want to fill them as fast as we can. As soon as the class is filled this offer goes away. Krava Maga is unlike any martial art you have ever taken. In many martial arts schools you have to wear a uniform and a belt and some make you learn foreign terms. In Krav Maga you will get no belts, no funny uniforms and no foreign language lessons. But you will get a way to relieve stress, get into the best shape of your life and learn how to defend yourself.

Since a picture is worth a thousand words I thought I would post a few videos for you to take a look at before I answer this question.
Remember that anything that takes years to learn will not be applicable in a self defense situation until years later.? That’s why the Israeli armed forces teach all their soldiers Krav Maga. They really needed something that they could teach in 3 to 6 months that would work. That’s how Krav Maga came about. If it didn’t work they would know in short order and make the necessary corrections to the system. Here is a simple explanation of some of the movements you will be learning. Notice how simple this is.? Anyone could do it with a little practice.

Created by Imi Lichtenfeld, who lived from 1910 to 1998, Krav Maga is both hand to hand combat training as well as fitness training that has been used for many years. Initially Krav Maga was used to train the Israeli forces; however, later on it was also taught to the civilians in Israel as well. Thankfully, in the 1980’s this form of martial arts began to spread throughout the world and now has quite a presence in the United States. While it was, and still is, used to train Israeli soldiers, and it is used to train Special Forces in the U.S. as well as law enforcement offices, this is also a form of self defense that is great for the common person as well. Even a mom with kids can learn self defense with Krav Maga. (more…)
One criticism that is quite common of many of the traditional martial arts is that they often cannot be applied in real life. Sure, there are a lot of fancy moves, but they often won’t hold up when you’re trying to defend yourself out on the street. You see, most of the martial arts were actually developed to be sports, which is why they may not be really applicable in real life. However, Krav Maga is much different. It was developed for people who were in distress and there are no rules, just dirty fighting for survival. So, if you are considering training in Krav Maga, it is definitely a worthy pursuit; in fact, here are just a few of the benefits you’ll enjoy if you train in Krav Maga.
Benefit #1 – You’ll Learn How to Defend Yourself in Any Situation – One of the main benefits of training in Krav Maga is that you’ll learn how to defend yourself in almost every situation. You’ll learn how to protect yourself on the street with your new skills. Whether you want to believe it or not, the world we live in is really not that safe and learning how to defend yourself is important. Training in Krav Maga will help you quickly learn simple and effective techniques that will help you stay safe. (more…)
All you need to do is read the paper or watch the news, and you’ll quickly find out that women are often the targets of crime. This can be a scary idea; however, you as a woman can start learning to protect yourself. Even if you are a mom and you have kids, there are self defense options available to you, and one of the best is Krav Maga.
Krav Maga is a method of self defense that you can easily learn as a woman. No, you don’t have to be in great shape, it doesn’t matter if you are small, and there are no funny uniforms for you to wear. This martial art is designed to help you in the real dangerous situations that may occur in life, and it can give you the confidence you need to know that you can take care of yourself and your children, even in the dangerous world that we live in. (more…)
Krav Maga is much more than just another method of self defense training. While other martial arts are more focused on competitions and sport, Krav Maga is actually focused on training you to handle any dangerous situation that may come your way. When you are training in a martial art, within a few weeks you should be able to feel more confident about your ability to protect yourself, and Krav Maga can give you this kind of confidence. So, if you really are interested in learning to keep yourself safe in a world that is far from safe, Krav Maga is a great choice.
If you are going to take Krav Maga self defense training, it is usually best that you take it for an extended period of time. People who only take a few weeks of training will not be able to enjoy all the benefits of Krav Maga. While Krav Maga will help you learn how to protect yourself much faster than other types of self defense, you should at least take six months of training if you want to become proficient in Krav Maga. The following are just a few reasons that you will need to take at least 6 months of Krav Maga self defense training.
To Learn the Basic Principles of Krav Maga
One of the main reasons that you need to take Krav Maga self defense training for at least six months is because you need the time to learn the basic principles of Krav Maga. If you don’t take the time to learn the basic principles and how to use them, then your training will not be very beneficial to you. Here are the five basic principles that you will learn.
Neutralizing the Threat – One basic principle you will learn is that you must neutralize the threat. After you have neutralized the threat then they will not be able to attack you anymore.
Avoiding any Injuries – Yet another principle that is basic to learning Krav Maga is doing your best to avoid any injuries. Protecting your body is important and you need to take any measures possible to keep yourself from being injured.
Hitting Points of Vulnerability – Use the high vulnerability points when you are trying to attack an attacker. You want to get them where it hurts the most so that they can be neutralized as a threat.
Attack – Don’t Just Defend – One of the most important principles of Krav Maga is that you need to attack your attacker, not just defend yourself. As soon as you can, stop just defending and go on and attack.
Use Everything Possible Around You – When you are training in Krav Maga you will be trained to take everything around you and use it as a possible weapon. While you may not have a real weapon around, you can make use of the things that are surrounding you.
The Longer Your Train the More Proficient You Will Become
While you will definitely learn a lot, even in the first few Krav Maga lessons, if you want to get the maximum benefits of the training, you’ll need to take at least 6 months of training. You see, the more you train and the more moves that you are able to learn, then the more proficient you will become at Krav Maga, which means you will be better able to protect yourself.
You Can Go Through Various Levels of Training
Although Krav Maga does not focus on going through various levels, there are four different levels that you can achieve. The longer you train in Krav Maga, there more levels you can get through. The first few belts are considered to be in Level 1, and these classes will teach the core defenses and moves of Krav Maga. You will learn to develop the proper techniques, including kicks, stances, punches, knee strikes, and other basic moves for self defense. As you go on into the higher levels you will learn more about various combinations, kicks, defending yourself against a weapon, and other more advanced self defense techniques.
As you can see, it is definitely going to be in your benefit to take at least 6 months of training in Krav Maga. You will want to learn all the basic principles, you’ll want to become proficient and you will probably also want to get to various levels of training so you can learn even more of how to adequately protect yourself in any situation.
